Inspiring Women Network (IWN) is a grassroots, women-led organisation based in Cornwall, working to connect, empower, and amplify women, with a particular focus on those who are underrepresented or marginalised.

Our work is shaped by lived experience and guided by feminist, anti-racist, and community-centred values. We prioritise women who face barriers related to race, migration, poverty, isolation, disability, and access to opportunity, while remaining committed to building solidarity across communities.

Through a wide range of community-led activities, workshops, events, and advocacy, we create welcoming and intentional spaces where women can:

  • build confidence and leadership

  • access support and information

  • share knowledge and lived experience

  • connect with others in meaningful ways

We believe that women are experts in their own lives. That’s why our programmes are co-designed with the communities we serve, constantly evolving in response to feedback, changing needs, and social realities.

Becoming part of the IWN community is simple and free. There is no formal membership; women engage by attending the activities that feel right for them. Some spaces are open to all women, while others are intentionally designed as protected spaces for specific communities, in response to need.

At its heart, IWN exists to challenge inequality, strengthen community, and support women not just to participate, but to shape the spaces and systems around them.

Our Work. Our Worth. Our Future.

IWN's Women's Conference 2026

This autumn, women from across Cornwall and beyond will come together for the IWN Women’s Conference 2026, a day exploring women’s work, economic power and what it really takes for women to thrive.

From paid work and enterprise to unpaid care, leadership, financial security and the barriers that still shape women’s choices, we’ll be asking some big questions about whose work is valued and who gets to shape what comes next.

Join us at the University of Exeter, Penryn Campus, for our fourth Women's Leadership and Entrepreneurship Conference.

The Travelling Teapot

A Journey Through Tea, Culture & Community

Tea tastes different everywhere. So do the stories that come with it.

The Travelling Teapot brings women together across Cornwall to share tea, traditions and stories from their cultures, heritage and lives. Each gathering is hosted by a different woman — and each cup takes us somewhere new.

IWN IGNITE

Have an idea, a business, or simply want to explore what you could do next?

Ignite is IWN’s space for women to build skills, confidence and connections around enterprise and work. From developing an idea to learning from other women and making new connections, you don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin.
