Join Us as a Community Event Coordinator for Refugee Week 2025!

Are you passionate about amplifying refugee voices, building connections, and creating meaningful events? Inspiring Women Network (IWN) and Cornwall Refugee Resource Network (CRRN) are looking for a Community Event Coordinator with lived experience of seeking asylum or a refugee background to help plan and deliver two powerful events during Refugee Week (16–22 June 2025).
About this Role
This is a freelance opportunity to co-design, coordinate, and promote two community-driven events that celebrate the strength, creativity, and contributions of refugees, particularly women and families.
The role will involve:

Bringing your lived experience to shape impactful events that amplify refugee voices.

Organising workshops, performances, or discussions that foster understanding and solidarity.

Collaborating with IWN, CRRN, and local groups to create a welcoming, empowering space.

Helping with outreach and engagement to ensure a diverse audience.
You’ll be supported by IWN and CRRN throughout, and we welcome creative, bold, and community-led ideas!
The Details

Fee: £850 (plus an event budget).

Flexible working – plan around your own availability.

Support from IWN and CRRN – you won’t be doing this alone!
