About the event
Courage on Wheels: Community Skate Session
As part of Refugee Week and our Refugee Community Day, we are excited to welcome Affinity Skateboarding for a special community skate session celebrating courage, connection, kindness and belonging.
Affinity Skateboarding is a Cornwall-based community organisation using skateboarding to bring people together, build confidence, create friendships and make skateboarding more accessible and inclusive for everyone.
During the session, the Affinity team will share more about their work, the power of skateboarding as a tool for community building, and how creating welcoming spaces can help people connect across different backgrounds and experiences.
Whether you've never stepped on a skateboard before or are simply curious to learn more, this beginner-friendly session is designed for women, families and community members of all ages.
All equipment will be provided, and no previous skateboarding experience is required.
