Join us for the next session in our Food for Thought series, where food becomes a starting point for conversation, culture, and connection.
This month, we are delighted to welcome Mabel, founder of M&C Cuisine, who will be sharing one of Nigeria's most beloved dishes: Nigerian Jollof Rice.
Jollof Rice is one of the most popular dishes across West Africa and is often served at celebrations, family gatherings, weddings, birthdays, and community events. Cooked in a rich tomato and pepper sauce with herbs and spices, it is a dish deeply connected to hospitality, togetherness, and cultural identity.
As a Nigerian woman living in Cornwall, Mabel will share her experience of moving from Nigeria to Cornwall and how food has helped her build friendships, preserve culture, and create a sense of home away from home.
